Opening the ACBIZ Marketplace to Outside Vendors

Until recently, everything in the ACBIZ marketplace was something we built ourselves. That made sense in the beginning — we needed a real catalog before we could ask anyone else to sell alongside it. But it also meant the marketplace could only ever grow as fast as our own product team, in exactly the categories we chose to prioritize.

That's changed. If you've built software worth selling, you can now apply to become a marketplace vendor, submit your product for review, and once approved, sell it through the same marketplace our own products sell through — real checkout, real delivery, and a public storefront page listing everything you offer. We track your share of every sale automatically, and you can request a payout of your available balance whenever you're ready.

The review step isn't a formality. Every vendor product goes through the same approval process before it goes live, because the thing that makes a marketplace worth browsing is trust that what's listed there is real and worth considering — that doesn't change just because the seller isn't us.

If you're a software vendor who's been trying to reach African businesses on your own, this is us opening a door we spent a long time keeping closed by default rather than by decision. Apply from the marketplace under "Sell on ACBIZ."
